Re: Jedicut 2.3.2 with Windows 98SE

Hi Jerome. Thanks for the reply.
The installer package for version 2.3.2 does not work with windows 98se, but the zip does.
My previous version of jedicut was 2.2.0 and i needed to extract pieces from the jedicut.ini file. Got it running though.

I have tried something new .....
Booted my old computer (the foam cutter) with a windows 7 boot cd. It boots the windows 7 WAIK PE3.0. I then ran Jedicut 2.3.2 with the windows 7 dll
for cncnet mm2001. It works !!!.
This could be a cheap way of running jedicut on older PC's ?.
All i need to do is to sort out the screen resolution and some portable apps.
You can also boot the windows 7 WAIK from a flash drive..

Thanks, Rick.

ps Is the Arduino system working okay ?.

Hi Jerome.
The Installer package gives the following error on Win98se ...
"The C:\JEDICUT_SETUP.EXE file
expects a newer version of Windows.
Upgrade you Windows version."

Windows 7 WAIK (Windows Automated Installation Kit) is what can be used to deploy win7.
It contains Windows PE (Preinstallation Environment) 3.0.
This is a minimal OS which can be booted from a CD / USB Memory or HDD.

It only runs for 72 hours before rebooting and the licensing only allows it to be used to deploy / repair windows systems.

That should get Mr Gates off my case !.

Now how about Jedicut for OSX or Rasberry PI. !!
