Jedicut-Alden
instructions in Polish

Hello everyone again. I am a great enthusiast and user of the Jedicut program. Unfortunately, my knowledge of English and French is almost nonexistent. Therefore, it was necessary for me to translate all new development instructions on regular basis. I did it with the help of an online translator and my modest knowledge of a former glider pilot and modeller. These are not professional translations, but, in my opinion, understandable enough to use them for learning about Jedicut development. I decided to provide these translations to Polish modelers interested in making controlers for Arduino. They contain the latest instructions from Alain - known on the Jedicut forum as AERODEN - including how to calculate drive parameters, heat wire, and limit switches. In order to make it easier to locate them in the files downloaded from the Jedicut website, I left the French names with the PL symbol. I’ll be happy if anyone finds them useful as there seem to be a few Polish modelers interested in Jedicut looking at the number of "Polish.help" and "Polish.xml" files download. Thanks to Jerome for a great program, to Alain for developing with Arduino, and to many other forum members for their work and selfless information sharing. I have been using their work since the beginning of Jedicut. Therefore, I have decided to make a small contribution to the process of disseminating this very good and user-friendly program, as well as all its mechanical-electronic environment. I am attaching a .ZIP file with translations.

Best regards
Józef

Hello Inelsal !

There is no word to describe your work. It's just amazing ! ::clapping:: ::clapping:: ::clapping::

I'm so glad to see our work used and translated !

To celebrate this, I add polish language pack into the forum. You can see a new flag on the right, and select this langague as your default language (look at your profil after you logged in). I hope it will be more easy for you to navigate on the forum.

If you know other Jedicut's polish users, I can create a polish section into this forum. What do you think about this ?

Hello everyone
What can I say about me. I am a pensioner and a rather lonely modeler, living in the southern part of Poland in the mountains. There is no modeling club nearby, and in my area of residence the sight of an old guy with a small plane is perceived quite strangely. At the moment, my model are almost exclusively for grandchildren. My machine was built when Jedicut was still a child, it underwent a small metamorphosis when the possibility of USB control appeared. At the moment it works on Arduino Uno with manual control of wire heating.

In the future, I would like to modify the electronic part and get rid of outdated controllers based on L297 and L298, in favour of A4988 or DRV8825. I would like to use a "GRBL CNC schield v3" overlay, but this requires changing the pin assignment in the "ad_fc_uno-4" program .
Unfortunately, programming is a mystery to me. I don't even know if it is possible, because an attempt to change the pin numbers alone causes chaos in the program and I am stuck with work, hence the question of what and where in the programme should be changed to make it work.

I know that there is a perfect "Jedicut Alden SuperLux" solution, but for my old and simple machine, it is too much.

Best regards
Józef

Bonjour Inelsal,

Kiedy opracowałem szkic gorącego drutu GRBL, spędziłem dużo czasu, aby uzyskać prawidłową kontrolę prędkości osi X1-Y1 i X2-Y2.

Hello Alain
It is very nice of yours to post also in Polish.
Thank you for your interest in my problem. I am also following your study for GRBL. However, I do not want to go towards GRBL, because in my opinion, I would unnecessarily lose the basic advantage of Jedicut (I run Jedicut, open the file and cut it). My assumption using CNCv3 is the same as your Jedict UNO/Nano overlay. (Arduino outputs signals to the pins, which are then connected to the DB25 depending on the machine configuration. This is how my machine works now. Arduino Uno is like an LPT port emulator). In case of CNCv3 schield, you need to change the signals on the pins UNO as below.

Pin layout for CNC schield V3

After conversion, Schield would take over the steering of the axles and I would not lose what I like most about Jedicut. If it is not possible to change the pins in the ad_fc_uno-4 program I will have to make an overlay between UNO and Schield which will physically change the signals to receive them in the configuration in which Schield CNCv3 will accept them, in total only 11 tracks on the intermediate plate which will lead the signal from 8 Uno to 2 Schield, from 9 to 3, 10 to 4 and so on as above.

Best regards
Jóżef

I am sorry,
Unfortunately, the description "Pin layout for CNC schield V3" is unreadable after sending.

Bonjour Inelsal,
A+

Hello alain
Thank you again for your interest. This is what I wanted to have: simple control and Jedicut. My old machine on drawer runners and M6 screws is enough for me. I do not make complicated models. If I want to make a new one in the future, then Jedicut_Alden_SuperLux is the ideal solution. For now I would like to reduce the whole control module and try to run dynamic wire heating control with Jedicut. At the moment I control the wire heating manually with a simple PWM module and a DC 48V/10A power supply. It would be great if you could adapt the program to the CNC schield v3 control board, I think many modelers who do not want or cannot do the control in SuperLux version would use this simple option.
In the appendix some drawings of my concept

greetings
Joseph

Bonjour,

Spróbuję dodać potencjometr i włącznik grzałki albo Jedicut albo ręcznie potencjometrem.
A +

Bonjour Inelsal,

Dodałem potencjometr 10K w A0 i przełącznik w A1 do sterowania PWM. Przełącznik umożliwia wybór pomiędzy potencjometrem a oprogramowaniem Jedicut.
