Good evening.

We had this same problem this WE. As I explained in an other post on the french forum, we had to replace the motors on our CNC, and we needed also to replace the driver, our old driver was not able to manage bipolar motors.

We bought a TB6560 driver and 4 NEMA 17 motors 200 steps / revolution (instead NEAM 17 100 steps motors), and as explained above, it was impossible to rotate them.

I just received a mail from one of my collegue who succeeded to run the motors.

It seems that the problem is due to differences between configuration of the LPT1 parallel port pin configuration and the TB6560 pin configuration. I don't have any supplemental information for the moment, we will install everything on our CNC on next saturday.

I will measure the speeds on all axis to compare them with the speeds estimated by Jedicut, it was my problem just before we changed everything.

Here are the connections required for the parallel lead you have to make to get the TB6560 to work correctly.

Pin 10 is the PC timer output you can make a timer if you wish I do not use one.

You can make a timer using a 555 ic.

Here is a small timer circuit that can be constructed on a vero board. (copper strip board)
hope it helps there is a link for working out the Freq: output.
